PRESBYOPIA is the main visual condition that affects those over 40 years.

The normal eye, at rest, is adapted for far vision. When the vision of nearby objects is required the eye must change focus by making an effort known as accommodation. This mechanism of accommodation, performed by the lens and the muscles and ligaments that surround it, are affected in presbyopia  and, for this reason, blurred vision for objects nearby starts.

The conventional treatment of Presbyopia has been the use of frame lenses for near vision, bifocal or progressive.

We can offer you multiple surgical options for Presbyopia. Among these is the treatment with excimer laser either through monovision or with a specific software for the creation of a multifocal cornea. Also by means of the implantation of a last generation multifocal intraocular lens, or the insertion of corneal implants.

After a detailed preoperative consultation, the Ophthalmologist will suggest the best treatment option in your specific case.
